The eldest child of two doctors, Daisy grew up in Yorkshire, spending many hours staring out of her bedroom window at sheep and wishing they were dragons and knights in shining armour. Realising that the pen was mightier than being bored, she turned to writing and began her first (alas now lost) novel, aged seven.

Twenty five years later, with a degree in history (to sate the desire for knights) and six years in the media and magazine publishing business behind her, not to mention a few disastrous and not so disastrous relationships, Daisy found herself once again reaching for her pen. She now lives in West London, where there are no sheep, but sadly no knights either, with her partner and four year old daughter Olivia.
